Ever heard of the Five Points neighbourhood in New York? It is mostly 
remembered for the fact that it was once controlled by gangs.
Gangs with fanciful names like the Dead Rabbits, the Plug Uglies and the 
notorious Five Points Gang.
Though there is hardly any trace left of it, even today the Five Points 
inspires many moviemakers and writers as well as musicians like Ben, Jan and Lodewijk who developed a feel for the Points sound, naming their 
band:

The Five Points is als band gestart in 2007 en maakt in juni 2008 zijn debuut op een
Gronings straatfeest. Muziekmaken als hobby waarbij de lol voorop staat, is het
motto van de band. De muziek van The Five Points kan het best worden omschreven als
rock, blues en rhythm and blues, gemixed met een aantal bekende jaren 60 nummers.  De
bezetting: Jan Schlimbach (drums), Ben Schuiteman (bas), Lodewijk van Weerden (zang/gitaar).
